A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a road traffic collision this morning on the A393 at Mount Ambrose.

Officers were called at around 8.40am to the incident that involved a car and a motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to Treliske Hospital by ambulance.

The driver and front seat passenger in the car also went to hospital for treatment.

Police are now investigating the collision and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

The road was closed to conduct an examination of the scene and secure evidence.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers would like to thank the members of public who were patient and considerate whilst this investigation took place.”

The scene was handed over to highways at around 12.55pm.
