Newquay Lions enjoyed afternoon tea as one presidential year ended and another began.

Lion David Hall formally handed over the ceremonial chain of office to the club’s 52nd president, David Evison, at the Pentire Hotel. The president’s first task was to present awards to his wife Jan for the outstanding support she has given to the Lions and to Joey Cope for going the extra mile. Barbara May has become senior vice-president, with Andy Hannan as junior vice-president.
