A detached bungalow at Mullion was among land and property to sell above their guide prices at auction.

In Meres Valley, the house – called Meres Copse - sold for £236,000, which was more than £60,000 above its freehold guide of £175,000 plus.

The two-bedroom house was auctioned in arrangement with Olivers Estate Agents.

  • In Redruth, an end-terrace three-bedroom property on a large site in Raymond Road sold for more than double its freehold guide of £50,000 plus when the gavel fell at £113,000.

Auction appraiser James Lofthouse said: “The buyer has acquired a property with plenty of potential.

“While requiring a programme of repair and modernisation, it is well located within Redruth and is situated on a large site which offers scope for further residential development, subject to all the necessary consents.”

  • In Camborne, a walled-off area of land with gated access close to the town centre went for £15,750.

It has been informally used for storage purposes and access to an electricity sub-station, which did not form part of the sale.

The site measures approximately 0.03 hectares (0.07 acres) and was listed with a freehold guide of £1,500 to £2,000.

  • Land next to 6 Gladstone Terrace in Redruth currently used for informal parking sold for £10,000.

Measuring about 0.01 hectares (0.04 acres), any future use of the land would be subject to all the necessary consents.
