“We’ve worked hard to honour the heritage of this much-loved building while creating a destination that feels fresh, contemporary and internationally inspired.

A spokesperson for the Nicolas James Group said: “Marking a significant milestone for both the town and THE NICI Group, the opening offers guests and the local community their first opportunity to experience the reimagined property and its striking new identity.

“The opening represents a major achievement for THE NICI Group, which has become known for breathing new life into landmark hotels while celebrating their heritage.

“In Newquay, this includes the careful restoration of many of the building's original features, including the historic Victorian bathing lift that connects guests directly to the cove below.

“Guests can now discover the hotel's newly designed bedrooms and public spaces, all inspired by the dramatic Cornish coastline and the relaxed elegance of Mediterranean seaside living.

“ Many rooms feature private balconies with sweeping ocean views, while thoughtfully curated interiors create spaces designed for comfort, connection, and escape.

“Dining is now available at Amalfi, the hotel’s signature restaurant, serving Italian-inspired dishes crafted using seasonal Cornish produce and complemented by spectacular Atlantic views.

“Beyond accommodation, THE NICI Newquay is set to become a vibrant social hub for the town, hosting cultural events, wellness experiences and family-friendly activities throughout the year.

“The hotel is expected to create significant employment opportunities while further strengthening Newquay's reputation as one of the UK's leading coastal destinations.

“The opening marks an exciting new chapter for both THE NICI Group and Newquay.”
