A generous Cornish holiday letting agency has donated £3,000 towards gifts for children in need this Christmas.

Aspects Holidays has given the money to the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal to buy gifts for children who would otherwise not be opening presents this Christmas Day morning.

An abundance of toys were purchased by the Salvation Army in Newquay and a team of volunteers spent several days organising toys and packing them in gift bags, ready to be delivered ahead of Christmas.

Aspects Holidays holiday co-ordinator Jackie Hoskens-Johns, Finance apprentice Rhea Millard, Communications Manager Gemma Taylor and SEO and Content Specialist Rosita Bunce were amongst the volunteers who helped to pack toys for the children.

Rhea said: “Helping out at the Salvation Army was an eye-opening experience, it is amazing how much they help those in need, and it makes you realise how lucky we really are to have them in our local communities.

"Seeing the number of people who use the charity was inspiring, it was great to be able to help out."

It is the second year Aspects Holidays has supported the Christmas Toy Appeal, which brings some Christmas cheer to children in the local area.

Chair of the Charity Council at Aspects Holidays, Gemma Taylor said: “It has been wonderful to be able to help the Salvation Army with their toy appeal again this year. We are thrilled we were able to help so many families within the local community.

"We do hope it will bring a little festive joy.”
