HISTORY buffs are being invited to learn more about medieval Cornwall.

Laura Muicci is staging an illustrated talk titled medieval wall paintings and Saint Hagiography of Cornwall, which will be held in the function room of the Great Western Hotel on Tuesday, October 14 at 7.30pm.

Len Sheppard from Newquay Museum Group, which is hosting the event, said: “We are fortunate in Cornwall to have some of these rare remainders from medieval times, some recently rediscovered.

“Laura is an entertaining speaker and until recently the finds officer for Cornwall.

“Metal detectorist may be able to ask her some questions relating to that following the main meeting.

“All are welcome to attend an evening of learning something new about Cornwall and a pleasant social occasion.”
