A fresher start to the week with a few welcome showers. It will be a bit breezy but the wind will settle down for the weekend and the high pressure will return. Tonight (Wednesday), Rowing Club Singers will be performing at the Red Lion in St Columb for carnival week at 8pm. This Saturday is Newquay Lifeboat Day. Newquay Rowing Club Singers will perform on the quay at about 12.30pm and Will Keating in the rowing club at 8pm.

It is a lot busier in the harbour now. Restaurants and boat trips are busy but it is still quiet on the mackerel front. Also on Saturday is the Walker Cup gig race at 2.30pm. Thought for the Week: “A quiet exit is better than a loud argument.”
