AFTER a lovely weekend of weather a changeable week ahead is forecast with fresh south westerly winds and showers.
Today (Wednesday) is the Headland Cup gig race at 7pm, weather permitting. Next Saturday is the Buller Cup, which sees Cadgwith rowers come to Newquay for an annual row and friendship that has been going for 67 years.
It is a lot quieter around the harbour now. The Ladies County Gig Championships went very well, with Helford Ladies coming out the eventual winners. The medals were presented by entertainer Johnny Cowling.
There is no band this Saturday at Newquay Rowing Club.
Thought for the Week: “Don’t give up, the beginning is always the hardest.”
