FAMILY and friends are celebrating a young man’s life by taking on a 150-mile fundraising walk to Mawgan Porth, which was one of his favourite places.
The fundraiser is being held in memory of Arthur Cleaver in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust between July 26 and August 1.
The event, called Walk4Arth, will see Arthur’s father Andrew, uncle Chris and cousin George Cleaver lead a group of friends and family walking from Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol to Mawgan Porth Beach over the seven days with the aim of raising £10,000 to support young people facing cancer.

The walk has been organised in honour of Arthur who died on December 18, 2025, following two and a half years of treatment for Leukaemia, celebrating his life while helping ensure other young people and families continue to receive specialist care and support during cancer treatment.
Teenage Cancer Trust is the UK’s only charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing care and support for young people aged 13 to 24 with cancer.
Funds raised through the walk will go directly towards helping the charity continue its life-changing work.
Organisers hope the challenge will not only raise money but also awareness of the unique challenges faced by teenagers and young adults living with cancer.
Supporters are encouraged to follow the journey, share the story, and help spread the word throughout the week-long event.
Andrew said: “Arthur sadly died from leukaemia just before Christmas last year.
“Mawgan Porth was one of his favourite places, which is why we'll be finishing the walk there.
“We’re taking on this challenge in Arthur’s memory and hope it inspires people to get behind the cause, whether by donating, sharing our story, or cheering us on along the way.”
