A fundraising page has been set up after a father of three lost his battle to cancer earlier this month.

Grampound Road resident, Paul Ryan, died on Tuesday, December 2 at the age of 46 after a long battle with lung cancer. He leaves behind his wife, Elise, and his three children, Alek, Connor and Arya.

A GoFundMe page has been set up by Bevan Rundle to help Paul’s family with their unexpected funeral expenses and to buy a few extra presents for the children this Christmas.

Bevan said: “I would see him as he walked past my gate on his way to work and he was always jolly and positive. He always managed to find time to walk his children to the local primary school, always with a smile for anyone.”

Paul, who had lived in Grampound Road for the past nine years, most recently worked at the St Ewe Eggs depot in the village.

Paying tribute to the father of three, the managing director of St Ewe Eggs, Martin Glinski, said: “Paul was one of the most positive and friendly members of our team, and it was a true privilege to have him as part of the St Ewe family for so many years.

“I’ll always remember our conversations about music and his unwavering passion for Liverpool FC, they captured his energy, humour, and warmth perfectly.

“Above all, Paul was a devoted and loving father, and his kindness touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be dearly missed by all of us.”
