COMBINING children’s cycling with Halloween has resulted in a spoke-y event taking place in Camborne next week.
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the annual Tykes on Trikes race and to make the most of spooktacular window displays in the main street, BID Camborne and Camborne Town Library have got together to create a special Halloween trail.
Designed to provide some frightful half term fun, a free trail sheet can be collected from Camborne Games from 10am on Friday, October 31. Those playing along are then invited to solve clues along a route through town centre shops and businesses between 10am and 3pm.
The trail ends at the library, where completed sheets are handed in and treats are handed out. Each sheet is also entered into a draw with five £5 vouchers to be spent in the town as prizes.
“We’re asking children to find character and bike related words in shop windows along the trail,” said Anna Pascoe, BID Camborne Manager. “The displays are so scarily good they’ll send shivers down your spine.”
With Tykes on Trikes taking place on Sunday, October 26 and the Halloween hunt on October 31, half term is eerily enticing in Camborne.
