PEOPLE in St Austell are being invited to a free open-air concert in a park in the town this week.

The St Austell Community Proms with Mount Charles Band will be taking place at Poltair Park between 7pm and 9pm on Friday (September 11).

Poltair Park Cafe will be open for refreshments and those going along to the concert are invited to take along chairs, picnics and blankets to the park.

A raffle at the event will raise funds for the St Austell mayor’s charities.

A spokesperson for Mount Charles Band said: “Up next for us us is the very first St Austell Community Proms. We are thrilled to have been asked by St Austell Town Council to be involved with this event.”
