PETER Andre, Scouting For Girls and a solar eclipse are set to headline Falmouth Week 2026, which begins on Friday (August 7) and runs until August 16.

Wednesday, August 12 is the week's biggest day. The Royal Navy Raiders, the Flying Comrades and the AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers will take to the skies over Falmouth Bay, coinciding with a 95 per cent partial solar eclipse - the most significant seen from Cornwall since 1999.

The Waterfront Marquee will host two of the UK's biggest tribute shows - Fleetwood Bac and ABBA Fever – on Sunday, August 9, pop-rock band Scouting For Girls on Thursday, August 13, and Australian chart-topper Peter Andre performing decades of hits on Friday, August 14.

The week opens on Friday with the Pink Wig Mermaid March, a colourful parade in support of The Mermaid Centre breast cancer facility, followed by Falmouth Carnival's community procession on Saturday, raising funds for local groups and charities.

Tuesday, August 11 sees a full day of family-friendly entertainment at Gyllyngvase Beach, including mermaid storytelling, a mobile rockpool experience and beach games. Events Square hosts the Observation Wheel and Discovery Market for the full ten days, while The Moor offers circus workshops, a climbing wall, mini-golf, art workshops and more, all free to drop into.

Falmouth Week's roots stretch back to a local sailing regatta first held in 1837, making it one of the longest-running maritime traditions in the South West. The sailing remains at the heart of the event, but today it's just one part of a celebration that fills the whole town.
