The Sunny Corner Cream Tea Afternoon will take place on Sunday, June 22 from 1.30pm until 4pm. There will be enough cream teas for the first 100 attendees.
The event is sponsored by Rodda’s clotted cream and Tesco, while scones have been donated by an individual supporter. There will also be homemade cakes.
Members of the Shower to Stage Choir will sing for the crowds from 1.45pm.
The event is free to attend, but there will be a raffle for those who wish to donate. Prizes include a £50 to be spent at the Heron Inn in Malpas and a cream tea for two at the Alverton.
Proceeds will support the Sunny Corner Conservation Group, volunteers who are committed to keeping the pretty harbour and its old hut in a condition for continued use.
Chairman Paul Caruana said: “This year has been expensive, with projects including installing water across the site and building a compound for composting purposes.
“So this event is all about giving back to the people donated to our cause, and lots have. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.”
Truro Cricket Club has permitted parking by its practice nets for the afternoon, and Boscawen Park car park is also recommended.
