TOWN councillors in St Austell have received an update on the work of the town centre revitalisation partnership.
The partnership was formed by the town council working with Cornwall Council and includes representatives from the voluntary and business sectors.
The group identifies and oversees projects that will benefit the town centre and aims to ensure the town is in a strong position should large-scale funding become available for schemes.
The update informed councillors that a design and feasibility study has been completed towards the creation of a rooftop garden and commercial units at Vicarage Place. This is as far as the project is likely to go at present.
Meanwhile, work has started on the new piazza beside Holy Trinity Church.
