STUDENTS from Camborne Science and International Academy (CSIA) have returned from a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Japan, where they represented British culture at the Global Super Forum.
Hosted by Ritsumeikan School, the event brought together young people from around the world to explore the theme of coexistence and how communities can live together harmoniously.
During the forum, each school delivered a cultural performance, and CSIA students proudly took the stage to share elements of British culture with their international peers.

The group also travelled through Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima and Osaka, visiting ancient temples, historic castles and world-famous landmarks. One of the most powerful experiences was their visit to Hiroshima’s A-bomb site, a moving moment that will stay with them for years.
The journey ended in vibrant Osaka, where students explored the city’s dazzling night-time streets and modern culture. Throughout the two weeks, they embraced Japanese traditions, built international friendships and made memories to last a lifetime.
This is the second year students from Camborne have taken part in a Japanese global forum. Last year, Camborne students taught the Trevithick Day dance to peers from 16 schools across 13 countries and presented research on sustainable futures.
Emma Haase, principal of CSIA, said: “Trips like this show our students what’s possible. They come home more confident, more curious and more connected to the world around them. That’s exactly the kind of education we want to provide.”
