A CONVOY of motorists “chipped in” to move three trees that were blocking the road on the outskirts of Newquay that were blown down during Storm Goretti.
Motorists decided to get out of their vehicle to move various branches that had become tangled in a power line along lanes leading up to Treloy Golf Club.
Catie Turner Kent said: “We had to travel that way as that was the only route open into Newquay. All the other roads heading into Newquay were blocked with fallen trees and powerlines down.
“In the end there were seven cars, and everyone chipped in to move the trees hanging on a powerline. The powerline wasn't broken hence why we moved a branch at time.”
