There was chaos in Truro this afternoon after a car crashed into the Wig & Pen pub on Frances Street.

A green Peugeot mounted the pavement and went through a wrought-iron fence and scattered furniture in the outdoor seating area before coming to a stop.

Three people were reported to have sustained injuries, while the road had to be closed for some time.
