The students, who have been part of the Blue Skies programme over the past academic year, have worked hard to develop their resilience, communication, and teamwork skills through a series of inspiring and challenging activities.
The programme is specifically designed to support young people who may be struggling to engage fully with school, helping them rediscover confidence, motivation, and ambition.
During a powerful final celebration event, the students delivered heartfelt speeches reflecting on their journey and growth, impressing staff, mentors, and guests with their maturity and courage.
The Jon Egging Trust works with young people across the country, offering long-term support through its STEM-inspired (science, technology, maths and engineering) programmes, which are designed to build aspiration, self-belief, and informed career thinking.
Emma Haase, principal of CSIA said: "We are incredibly proud of our Year 8 students who have completed this transformative programme. Watching them grow in confidence and realise their potential has been truly inspiring. The Jon Egging Trust’s work aligns beautifully with our values, and we’re excited to see our students continue their journey into the second year of the programme."
