AN annual event which celebrates Camborne’s rural heritage returned on Saturday (July 19).
The Camborne Show, which has been a highlight of the Cornish calendar since 1942, made the move to Gear Farm on Barripper Road for this year’s event.
Founded by the Holman family and supported by local farmers, the annual show has previously been staged at Camborne Recreational Ground, Camborne Rugby Club and, most recently, Gwealavellan Farm.

The traditional horse displays and cattle section proved popular once again, with numerous prizes and trophies handed out to well-deserved entrants.
It was a day of fun and entertainment for all the family as visitors were treated to children’s entertainment, live demonstrations, a fun dog show, ‘have a go’ activities, classic vehicles, as well as trade, craft and food stalls.

For those looking to enjoy the summer weather with a drink in hand, there musical performances from Jumping Out, Kernow Pipes and Drums, Camborne Brass, and Cadgwith Singers.
This year’s event is raising money for Parkinson’s UK, with a percentage of the money raised going towards the cause.
