A MP has called for a play park to be installed at RAF St Mawgan due to the increasing number of military families expected to move to the base.
Ben Maguire, the MP for North Cornwall, has written to the Minister in charge of MOD estates and accommodation, to ask for children's play equipment at the RAF base.
He wrote: “The base houses a large number of their military families, and is set to have many more families moving in the coming years.
“As a result, the families living there urgently need new playground equipment. They currently have a fantastic community garden, which is well looked after and valued by the community, but the Station Commander raised the need specifically for play equipment directly with me during a recent visit.
“I would very much appreciate any assistance you can provide in securing funding for this new play equipment, which I'm sure would be greatly cherished by the families of personnel living there.”
