Over the past few months, air cadets in the Camborne district have been collecting and making small presents with the aim of giving them to the residents at the St Martin’s House nursing home in the town.

All the wrapped presents were delivered to the home by the cadets from 147 (Camborne & District) Squadron who spent time with the residents.

The gifts included puzzles, homemade gingerbread, home-knitted scarfs, chocolates and decorations.

Commanding officer Flight Lieutenant Samantha Cairns said: “It was so nice to see the old and the young interacting with each other, and the cadets have already asked if they can do it again next year.”
