COLLEAGUES from St Austell Brewery marked the company’s 175th anniversary by taking part in a bumper week of fundraising.

Team members from across the business conquered a week of walking, cycling, and running earlier this month to vital funds for Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).

St Austell Brewery, which selected CHSW as its Charity of the Year for 2026 and 2027, has so far raised over £17,500 for the hospice through The 175 Challenge, with the final amount still to be announced.

Three of the five days of fundraising activities took place in Cornwall. The second day of events saw participants tackle a 22-mile circular cycling route from the Borough Arms in Bodmin to Padstow, via Wadebridge, and then returning to the Borough Arms.

The fourth challenge saw individuals take part in a six mile coastal hike, with plenty of inclines, from the Wellington in Boscastle to the Port William in Tintagel.

To mark the brewery’s 175th anniversary, the final test took team members on a 17.5-mile circular hike from St Austell Brewery to Mevagissey.

A post on St Austell Brewery’s Facebook page read: “What a week. What a team. What a cause. Our 175 Challenge has come to an end, and while we’re still totalling up the final figure, we’re proud to say we have raised more than £17,500 for Children’s Hospice South West.
