A TWO-TIME breast cancer survivor from Newquay has helped raise £600 for charity, which is working to find a cure.
Rachel Craze, who is a churchwarden at St Michael’s Church, has collected the money for Breast Cancer Now through organising two community events.
A special afternoon tea was held at the church on Sunday, August 17, and a retiring collection was held following a performance by the Cantores Beati Chamber Choir on Tuesday, August 19.
Mrs Craze said: “Many of our congregation have been affected by this disease, either diagnosed themselves or their family and friends.
"It was wonderful to see everyone come together to support such a vital cause.
“The church extends its heartfelt thanks to all who contributed, including those who baked cakes and served tea.”
