A bomb discovered during a house clearance in St Dennis has been collected for disposal.
Properties have been evacuated in Wellington Road after the unexploded mortar shell was found shortly after 8.50am.
Royal Navy bomb disposal experts attended the scene and took the device away for disposal.
A cordon is in place whilst the scene is made safe.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “The device was collected for disposal by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team.“Officers remain at the scene as part of a wider search to make sure the house is safe.”
