AN acclaimed poet will be performing her much-loved poetry at a Newquay bookshop.

Penzance based poet and writer Katrina Naomi will be appearing at Clemo Books on Wednesday, October 1 at 7.30pm.

She will be celebrating her new her new collection on the eve of National Poetry Day, which takes place annually throughout the UK on Thursday, October 2.

Katrina will be reading from her new poetry pamphlet Dance, As If which was inspired by working with a dancer and choreographer. The poet will also be reading from her previous collection Battery Rocks which draws inspiration from the sea and swimming.

Jaimie Poyner, owner of Clemo Books said: “Listening to Katrina’s work after hours in your local bookshop is a wonderful way to spend an autumnal evening. If we can gather on the eve of National Poetry Day and pay tribute to how poetry shapes our lives, I think that will be a wonderful thing too!”

Since opening in November 2023 Clemo Books regularly hosts author events throughout the year and hopes to continue being a part of Newquay’s high street for many years to come.
