A MAN was taken to hospital with a head injury following an altercation near St Austell on Thursday, August 13.
Police were called to Wesley Court, Mevagissey, at around 8.10am after receiving reports that a fight took place between two men on a residential street.
A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital after sustaining a head injury but has since been discharged.
A 34-year-old man from Plymouth, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent, has been released on bail while police continue their investigations.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “We were called to Wesley Court in Mevagissey yesterday, Thursday, August 13, at around 8.10am following reports of an altercation involving two men outside the residential premises.
“The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital having sustained a head injury and has since been discharged.
“A 34-year-old man, of no fixed abode, from Plymouth, was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent and has been released on conditional police bail while investigations continue.”
