A BEACH-GOER in Cornwall had to be helped by the emergency services after becoming unwell.
The alarm was raised at Spit Beach near Par on Sunday (August 9) and a St Austell Coastguard team was sent to the scene.
In a separate incident, a Mevagissey Coastguard team went to Gorran Haven beach on Saturday afternoon to help a person who had sustained an injury aboard a boat at sea.
The casualty was transferred ashore by dinghy and taken by car for NHS treatment.
