EMERGENCY services were scrambled after a man was on the wrong side of railings on a cliff edge in Newquay on Saturday night (December 6).
Police, Newquay and Padstow Coastguard Rescue Team, a Newquay RNLI lifeboat and the ambulance service attended the incident at the Killacourt at around 6.45pm.
Police officers spoke with the man, and he was brought to safety around 8.45pm.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were called following concern for the welfare of a man in Newquay.
“The man in his 20s was located on the wrong side of the railings on a cliff at Killacourt.
“The man was brought to safety around 8.45pm. He was returned home with appropriate safeguarding measures put in place.”
