TWO elderly drivers were taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision on the A390 near Chiverton Cross, towards Truro.
Police were called at around 1.45pm on Tuesday, November 18, to reports of a collision involving a yellow Fiat Panda and a black Nissan Qashqai.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: “As a result of the collision, the drivers of both vehicles, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 70s, sustained significant injuries. They were both taken to hospital where they remain.”
The road was closed for approximately four hours to allow for a thorough examination of the scene and for recovery of the vehicles.
