Police have confirmed that a man in his 30s has died, following an incident in Camborne this morning (April 12).

The road closures put in place this morning in Camborne have now been reduced to Cross Street and Basset Street.

Pendarves Road was closed in both directions and all roads leading to the double roundabout, including Basset Street, Cross Street and Trevu Road were also closed.

South Terrace, Trevu Road, and Wesley Street reopened to traffic at 1.50pm.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: "Police were called around 4.50am today, April 12, following concern for the welfare of a man in Basset Street, Camborne.

"The man in his 30s was pronounced deceased at the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

"Ambulance and fire services are also in attendance.

"A number of road closures and a scene guard remain in place at this time."
