Liskeard Athletic will be keeping their fingers crossed that there is not too much rain overnight ahead of Saturday's big match against Wendron United.
The Blues are due to welcome the South West Peninsula League premier west leaders to Lux Park for arguably the game of the day in the league.
But a forecast of heavy rain during the early hours of Saturday means the club are expecting to take a precautionary look at the playing surface in the morning.
Liskeard's last home match, against Camelford on New Year's Eve, was among the SWPL games postponed because of waterlogged pitches.
Wendron are top on 47 points from 19 games while fifth-placed Liskeard are 16 points behind but have four games in hand.
