Liskeard-Looe RFC are looking for a new head coach for the 2023-2024 season.
Lewis Elliott, the present incumbent, and team manager Phil Mutton, are both standing down at the end of this season.
The Lions, who play in Counties 2 Tribute Cornwall, need somebody to be responsible for organising training of the first team at two midweek sessions in preparation for matches.
Among the key aspects of the role is to plan, deliver and review safe, engaging and effective training sessions within rugby’s values, and codes of conduct while developing individual skills, confidence and fitness in younger players. The new coach will need a clear coaching and playing philosophy aligned to the wants and needs of every player and be a key member of the first team selection committee.
A successful candidate will work with the club coaching co-ordinator to continue and facilitate personal learning and development.
The club says the ideal candidate woukd hold a Level 2 RFU coaching award or be working towards one and to be enthusiastic, confident, approachable and good with people.
