SIX games went ahead in South West Peninsula League Premier West on Saturday with drama at both ends of the table.

St Day visited bottom side Dobwalls and eventually left with a point after a remarkable finish.

The hosts went in front on 22 minutes via Alex Oshinyemi’s header, only for the Yellows to equalise from a corner soon after.

Dobwalls had the better of the second half and went in front on 88 minutes via Levi Cable, but St Day’s decent form continued as they pounced on a mistake in the third minute of injury-time. Their scorers were Jago Taylor and Zak Rogers.

Top three hopefuls Wendron United welcomed struggling Launceston at Underlane, but it was the Clarets who went home with a 1-0 win courtesy of George Bills’ second half finish.

Leaders Liskeard Athletic remain three points clear of Elburton Villa after both enjoyed wins on the road.

The Blues defeated third-placed Holsworthy 3-0 with George Newton and Ryan Richards (2) on target, while Villa saw off Camelford 2-1.

James Hamson got the winner after Ryan Downing had cancelled out Sam Hughes’ opener for the Plymouth side.

Falmouth Town Reserves and fellow top six hopefuls Callington Town couldn’t be separated after a 1-1 draw at Bickland Park.

Callington’s Karl Peters made a string of fine saves in the second half before he was eventually beaten in the 82nd minute from Aaron Hicks’ finish from a corner.

Earlier, Fin Harrison’s rocket had put Cally into a half-time lead.

Sticker made the trip to Millbrook and were beaten 2-1 by debutant Kieran Morris’ injury-time finish. Sam Eccleston got Sticker’s goal while Will Larsen had earlier netted.

The other game saw Wadebridge Town and Bude Town share a 1-1 draw.

Sam Wickins gave the Bridgers an 88th minute lead before Finn Reeve’s header secured the Seasiders a share of the spoils.
