The South West Peninsula League on Friday morning invoked its Severe Weather Protocol for matches scheduled to be played on Saturday.

This means that league secretary Phil Hiscox can accept postponements from 9 am Friday without the need for a referee's pitch inspection.

If clubs think that play might be possible, they may wait until Saturday morning but be aware of the weather forecast and check pitch conditions.

Heavy rain and severe gales are forecast for the region overnight and into tomorrow morning.

Penzance versus Liskeard Athletic was the first game to be postponed due to a waterlogged Penlee Park pitch.

Scheduled West Division matches: Camelford v St Dennis, Launceston v St Austell, Mullion v Bodmin, Penzance v Liskeard (off), St Blazey v Newquay, Sticker v Dobwalls, Wendron v Callington.
