“Over the next 12 months we will starting several strategic projects to support the future growth at the club and enable St Austell RFC to continue to excel.
“Plans are being drawn up to redevelop and extend the ground floor of the clubhouse to further improve our facilities for youth and girls’/women’s teams.
“It will also provide a new entrance, better medical provision and improved accessibility.”
Hayes said the club will also be looking at potential opportunities to improve revenue generation in the clubhouse and across their grounds, including facilities for camper vans.
He added: “None of this is possible without the volunteers who give up their time to support rugby at St Austell RFC and the sponsors who provide financial support ensures we can continue to offer community-based rugby to the town, clays and bay of St Austell.”
Hayes said St Austell RFC are in ‘fine fettle’ and looking forward to what 2023 holds.
