Stress, burnout and constant overwhelm have become an everyday experience for many people.

A new retreat in Newquay aims to offer something different: practical tools to calm the nervous system and help people reset. Stress Sucks, founded by Cornwall-based wellness practitioner Kylie Griffiths-Wilson, is hosting a Spring Nervous System Reset retreat at SeaSpace in Newquay on March 21.

The half-day retreat is designed for people who feel wired, overstimulated or mentally exhausted and want simple ways to bring more calm and balance into their lives.

“Many people are stuck in a constant state of stress without realising it,” says Kylie. “The nervous system never properly switches off. The aim of this retreat is to help people understand what stress is doing to their body and give them practical tools to regulate it.”

The retreat will include guided meditation, breathing practices and a practical workshop exploring how the nervous system responds to stress and how small daily practices can help restore balance.

The experience is designed to be accessible whether someone is completely new to meditation or already interested in wellbeing. The focus is on simple, practical techniques that can be used in everyday life.

Guests will also enjoy a relaxed lunch and receive a curated goodie bag from wellness partners including YEW Drink and Cornish Seaweed Bath Co. With a limited number of spaces available, the retreat offers a small, supportive environment where people can step away from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with a calmer state of mind.

“The goal isn’t to escape life,” Kylie says. “It’s to give people tools they can take back into their real lives so they feel more steady, clear and resilient.”

The Spring Nervous System Reset retreat takes place at SeaSpace, Newquay on March 21 from 10:30am to 3:30pm. Spaces are limited. More information and tickets can be found at: https://www.stress-sucks.com/spring-nervous-system-reset-retreat.
