AS your Reform UK Cornwall councillor for St Stephen in Brannel, I am dedicated to serving our community with passion and purpose, ensuring residents’ voices are heard and their needs addressed. My activities reflect my commitment to fostering a stronger, more connected parish.

Recently, I visited a remarkable community project at the parish council rooms, led by an inspiring local resident. It was a privilege to witness the initiative’s impact and engage with participants.

I have also been out and about, meeting residents and listening to their concerns. I attended my second surgery at a local dog show, arranged by Foxhole Village Green Committee, which provided a valuable opportunity to connect with the community in a relaxed setting. Additionally, I joined a well-attended police surgery at the Brannel rooms, working alongside local officers to address residents’ concerns and strengthen community ties.

I have been actively tackling constituent issues, many involving Cornwall Council, with several matters still in progress. I remain particularly focused on the proposed solar farm and lithium projects, which are causing significant local anxiety, and I am determined to represent the community’s views on these matters.

One issue close to my heart is improving transport access for our elderly and disabled residents. After assisting a 90-year-old couple facing difficulties due to the discontinuation of a direct bus to Asda, I am exploring the possibility of securing a weekly free shopper bus from Asda or Tesco to serve the clay villages. Such schemes exist elsewhere and I believe this could significantly enhance independence for non-drivers.

Working closely with the parish council and local police, I find great fulfilment in addressing your concerns and delivering practical solutions for St Stephen in Brannel.
