WARNINGS have been renewed for beachgoers to stay away from the bottom of cliffs following a rockfall in Newquay.
Newquay Coastguard Search and Rescue Team attended the incident between Towan Beach and Great Western Beach on Sunday, May 18 shortly before 1.30pm.

A spokesperson said: “The team were tasked to investigate reports from RNLI Lifeguards Newquay of a rock fall between Towan and Great Western beach.
“Members of the public are reminded of the hazards associated with being too close to the base of cliffs. Please stay clear and follow safety advice given by the lifeguards.
“People who see anyone in difficulty along the coast, dial 999 and ask for the coastguard. Stay safe.”
