Support is being provided in Liskeard to help keep people warm during the winter.

Several venues across the town are opening their doors during the cost of living crisis.

The Lighthouse Community Centre in Heathlands Road is providing a warm and friendly environment with free wi-fi, soup, rolls and hot drinks on Mondays from 11am to 4pm, on Tuesdays between noon and 6pm and on Thursdays from 11am and 4pm. Liskerrett Community Centre in Varley Lane is offering free, simple making projects for all and a shared meal on Wednesdays from 3.30pm and 6pm.

The venue also stages a Crafty Toasty, a free community art and wellbeing drop-in session, on Fridays between 10am and noon.

Tea, coffee and a toasted sandwich is offered on the second and fourth Fridays.

St Martin’s Church Centre in Church Street provides a warm space with free homemade soup, rolls and hot drinks on Wednesdays between noon and 1.30pm.

The Salvation Army Citadel in Church Street hosts a coffee club and warm space on Fridays between 10am and 3pm.

The Catholic Church and St Neots Room in West Street is providing a warm space with a midday hot meal, tea, coffee and snacks on Saturdays from 10.30am and 3.30pm.
