A VANDAL has made local taxpayers pay after damaging public toilets in Newquay.
A payment device was smashed at the Narrowcliff toilets sometime on Monday, September 15. Police are investigating the incident and CCTV footage is being checked.
A town council spokesperson said: “We’re saddened our Narrowcliff toilet was damaged due to an act of vandalism.
“This kind of behaviour is deeply disappointing and undermines the hard work that goes into maintaining our public facilities.
“The incident has been reported to the police, and we are currently reviewing our CCTV footage to assist with the investigation.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or have any information, please contact the police or reach out to the council directly.”
