FOLLOWING an appeal, a potential identity has been brought to police attention after a body was discovered on a Cornish beach.
Police were called to concerns of a body being found on Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth, at 10.50am on Monday, January 1.
Providing more information, a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "We have informed next of kin and our enquiries continue in order to assist the coroner with formal identification.
"Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
"Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter."
