Newquay’s biggest academy has appealed to parents and carers to recommend their children should walk in groups following an alleged flashing incident in the town on Tuesday morning.

Newquay Tretherras safeguarding team put out the warning after a man "exposed himself" near Wildflower Lane.

Police have stepped up high visibility patrols in the area following the alleged incident.

The male is described as white, 5’8” tall, ginger hair with some facial hair and was wearing all black clothing.

A spokesperson for Newquay Tretherras said: “There has been a report of a man exposing himself near Wildflower Lane.

“We recommend that children walk in groups and are extra vigilant. 

“If any of our young people witness anything they need to make themselves safe and call 999 straight away.

“Please speak to your children at home about this and we are available for additional support, if required.”
