Continuing rail strikes caused travel disruption in Cornwall at the weekend as one train operator was brought to a standstill.

Members of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) at 14 train operators were on strike on Saturday in a continuing dispute over pay, job cuts and changes to terms and conditions.

As a result, GWR said they ran no services in Cornwall on Saturday and acknowledged continued "disruption" on Sunday, worsened by planned engineering work.

Strike action also impacted South Western Railway (SWR) services.

Further strike action is planned for 30 March and 1 April.
