FESTIVE cheer filled the John Betjeman Centre when Concern Wadebridge hosted its annual senior citizens party. 

More than 100 people attended the party which included a hot meal, refreshments, a quiz and live music. 

The event was sponsored by the Wadebridge Cycle Ride, held in September, and also received donations from William and Sons Butchers, Chadds of Bude, Dole Bodmin, Callestick Farm, Roddas and local resident Heather Keightley. 

Concern Wadebridge manager Emma Burt said: “It has been a very busy year for us at the centre but this party is always the highlight of the year.  

“Thank you to my wonderful volunteers who worked so hard in the lead-up and on the day to make it a special event for everyone.”
