A landmark Cornish hotel will be offering people the opportunity to buy an Aladdin’s Cave of equipment in the New Year.

Newquay’s Headland Hotel has chandeliers, dining chairs and more than 2,500 items of crockery and glassware available to purchase.

The Big Headland Food and Beverage Sale will take place on Monday, January 2, ahead of the introduction of a new restaurant for the hotel in the spring.

Hotel director Veryan Palmer said: “The Samphire Restaurant is closing to be replaced by a new £2.5m restaurant, main kitchen and staff dining area in April 2023, so we are taking the opportunity to have a clear-out sale whilst raising some funds for Newquay DISC and Newquay Foodbank.

“We are inviting anyone interested in a wide range of food and beverage items to email us (refurb@headland

hotel.co.uk) if they wish to receive a list and pictures of available items. Alternatively they can come along from 11.30am on January 2 to view the items at the hotel, with the sale starting at 2pm.”
