RESIDENTS are being given an opportunity in Newquay to pick up a free tree to plant in their garden.
Newquay Town Council is organising the event as part of the Forest for Cornwall scheme and Plant a Tree Week, which is being held at Newquay Library in Marcus Hill on Saturday, November 23, between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
A spokesperson said: “Pick up a free tree at the library to plant in your front or back garden, and find out more about the Forest for Cornwall's tree planting plans for Newquay.”
