RAF St Mawgan opened its gates to a vibrant celebration of community and camaraderie.

The airbase hosted MawganFest mini music festival for station personnel, their families and friends.

Attendees explored children’s entertainment, got creative in arts and crafts workshops and participated in outdoor yoga sessions ( )

The event offered a lively, fun-filled day, with something for all ages to enjoy.

A tempting variety of food and drink stalls kept everyone refreshed, including the free ice creams donated by the British Forces Broadcasting System. A model aircraft display by the stations resident Model Aircraft Club, paid homage to the base’s aviation heritage.

Live music performances brought a festival atmosphere to the day with lawn games, friendly sporting activities and even a crowd-pleasing dog show adding to the entertainment. The relaxed setting allowed families to unwind and enjoy each other’s company in a welcoming environment.

MawganFest was held in recognition of the dedication and hard work of RAF St Mawgan’s personnel and to thank their loved ones for the unwavering support they provide. The day also served as an opportunity to strengthen bonds within the whole force community building new friendships and reinforcing existing partnerships that are vital to the station’s success.

Wing Commander Helen Simpson, RAF St Mawgan Station Commander, said: “MawganFest was a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together in a spirit of unity and appreciation. It was a fitting tribute to the dedication of our personnel and the invaluable support of their families.
