A PASTY company is marking a day that celebrates surfing by supporting a surf therapy charity.

Warrens Bakery will be distributing exclusive vouchers to local surfers and surfing clubs to use in its new Quintrell Road store during International Surfing Day on June 21 , and donating 50p from every voucher redeemed to The Wave Project.

Louise Batty from Warrens Bakery said: “With our roots firmly in Cornwall, we understand the importance of the sea and love to support local communities and charities wherever we can.

“We wanted to celebrate International Surfing Day so we’ve been busy delivering our vouchers to the local surfing community. We’re especially pleased that a percentage of proceeds from the day will be donated to The Wave Project, a charity we’re passionate about supporting.”

Louisa Arnold from The Wave Project said: "The Wave Project exists to support children and young people improve their mental wellbeing, through surf therapy. We believe every child has a right to good mental health and access to safe water. One in five children in the UK struggle with their social, emotional or mental health. We’re on a mission to change that. We cannot do this without the generous support of donors like Warrens Bakery. Thank you."
