LOCAL historian, photograph collector and Voice reader Barrie Doney has no shortage of pictures and stories from Cornwall’s past, which he shares with Voice Newspaper readers every week.

This week’s photograph takes us on a visit to Carclaze.

Barrie says of this photograph: “Built in 1880, the headmaster’s house can be seen at the far end. It was the elementary school that A L Rowse attended from 1908 to 1914 before he attended the county school. Now subject to conversion following a fire some years ago.”
